Fam108 is a shared budget app for families, couples and anyone whose money is shared while their wallets are not. This page says plainly what it is, how it works and how it pays for itself.

What Fam108 is

One budget on several phones: everyone adds what they spend from their own phone, and a trip, a renovation or a project can have its own budget, currency and end date. Fam108 runs in the browser and on Android as a beta; on iPhone it runs in the browser until the App Store version is out. The app speaks six languages: English, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Hindi and Bengali.

Why it never connects to a bank

Every expense is entered by hand, in about three taps. That is a choice, not a missing feature: no bank login ever reaches us or a data aggregator, and cash or any bank in any country count the same way. The price is a little effort every day, and we say so.

Where your data lives

On your device first. If you turn on sync, a copy is kept on our sync server so the family’s other devices can see it, and it is not end-to-end encrypted. The details are on Where your data lives and in the privacy policy.

How Fam108 makes money

From subscriptions. The free plan is a full budget for two people; Plus and Business add features for bigger families and small businesses. There are no ads, we do not sell data, and the apps carry no analytics or tracking SDKs.

How we write comparisons

Fam108 is our product, so our comparison pages follow three rules: every fact about another app comes from its official website, with the date we checked it and a link to the page; we do not rate other apps; and Fam108’s minuses sit in the same table as its strengths. If something is out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
