Fam108 ("the app", "we") is a family expense tracker. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. Fam108 is local-first: your financial data is stored on your device and is not collected by us.
When you use Fam108 you create data that is saved only in the app's local database on your device (expo-sqlite):
We do not collect, transmit, sell, or have access to this data. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no third-party trackers in the app.
If you enable Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint unlock, authentication is performed entirely by your device's operating system. Biometric data never leaves your device and is never accessible to the app or to us.
Session tokens and similar secrets are kept in the platform secure store (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) on your device.
Family Sync is off by default. If you choose to enable it, the app sends your family's data to a synchronization server whose address you provide (for example, a server you or your family operate). In that case:
If you never enable Family Sync, no data leaves your device through the app.
You can export your data to a CSV file via the system share sheet. This is initiated by you, and the destination (email, files, etc.) is chosen by you.
Fam108 lets a family owner create "child" member profiles within their own family for budgeting purposes. These are labels inside your local family data, not separate accounts, and they do not involve collecting personal information from children by us.
"Erase all data" in Settings permanently deletes your family, accounts, transactions, and settings from the device. Uninstalling the app also removes its local data.
We do not see or store your payment details. Subscriptions are purchased through the App Store or Google Play, and those stores process the payment. What reaches our sync server is the minimum needed to unlock the features you paid for: the family identifier the subscription belongs to, which plan is active, whether it is a trial, and when it renews or expires.
We do not receive your name, card, billing address or store account from this. We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
